This project had two components: a 320 square-mile drainage master plan for a watershed and the analysis of the McMicken Dam. Entellus teamed with AMEC Foster Wheeler to develop various alternatives.
The hydrology incorporated alluvial fans, CAP and Beardsley Canal impoundment, and flows across I-10. As part of this effort, our team developed systematic procedures, including custom GIS applications to increase efficiency. Additionally, we proposed creative solutions which resulted in the preservation of the natural watercourses, adding conveyance to the system by expanding the bank capacity and creating a naturally functioning braided wash.
