Geospatial Information Systems (GIS)
First Law of Geography, Waldo R. Tobler - “everything is related to everything else, but near things are more related than distant things."
Entellus has been utilizing geospatial technology to support our clients needs for over 15 years. Rooted in cartography and geodesy, we utilize GIS as a tool to solve real world problems by collecting, analyzing, and communicating geographic information.
Our team has developed custom GIS tools and databases to facilitate the mapping of over 50,000 feature assets throughout the southwest for various clients. Through a collaborated effort with our Land Survey department, we utilize survey grade GPS equipment to locate and document features to provide accurate mapping and up-to-date asset management information.
The power of GIS is the ability to consume vast amounts of data from a variety of sources to represent historic, current and future conditions and graphically represent those conditions in an understandable way. Entellus has extensive project experience utilizing GIS as a planning tool ranging from drainage modeling and floodplain delineation to land planning and utility networks. We deliver products to help our clients make decisions and effectively communicate technical results through cartographic maps, tabular databases, animations, 3D visualization, and interactive web map applications.
